The first horse, a young filly, had something wrong with his hooves. Being painful, they would not stop growing and she would eventually be put down. I worked on this black pony in a farmyard; my husband’s chore was to keep the chickens and turkeys at bay so they would not interfere (he was mighty busy protecting us). After introducing myself to the horse and asking permission, I put my hands on the right shoulder. The head dropped and breathing slowed. Shortly the horse laid down and I knelt beside, keeping my hands intact. I could feel the energy flowing smoothly for sometime and then taper and stop. I slowly moved away. Within a few minutes the horse stood and came to me, showing gratitude with kisses and rubs.
Horse two was not seen until four days after his tangle with barbed wire due to unusually muddy roads. Before I started the healing energy, his owner had placed him in his stall with two leads holding him in place. When I walked up I asked what had happened to the back left leg. The veterinarian showed obvious surprise that I had picked up on it since there was no outward sign of injury; I was assured that there was damage there as well as the threatening barbed wire cuts. After asking permission of the horse I laid my hands where my “inner guidance” directed. The horse became very calm, head down, breathing easily. I was later told that the horse would have lain down had the leads not be in place. The session lasted about thirty minutes before the energy stopped flowing. Later I was informed that everyone was amazed about how fast the horse had recovered!
Most recently, we traveled some distance to work on a horse that was injured jumping and the owners were very concerned. It was a drizzly day, slight wind with the cool mountain air announcing summer. Again the horse was tied to a fence and the owner stood close for reassurance. Since the horse was somewhat skittish, after asking permission from the animal, I stood a few feet away and directed healing energy from a short distance. Energy surged initially, then flowed smoothly for quite sometime. With the weather change, it really got chilly and I was cold but with the energy flowing so smoothly, I put my back to the wind and stood fast. You could just see the horse relax in stages. It was interesting. When the energy stopped flowing, I backed away and walked toward the house. The owner waited until the animal was ready to be moved. Surprise! A different animal appeared, prancing, tossing his head and rearing to go! Really good reports about this horse came to me. Ahhhh .... Healing makes my heart smile with gratitude that I am so blessed with this gift.
